After 20+ years, Jonathan’s love for videography is a lifelong affair. As a kid, he would follow his father to work at Time Warner Sports, Los Angeles, looking for cameras to play with. When he was old enough, he officially joined the team as a camera operator for live and live-to-tape broadcasts of high school and college sports, and later became Technical Director for live, in-studio broadcasts for local news specials and public access television.

Next up, Hollywood. Jonathan joined the Trailer Park Group in 2009 as Production Coordinator and Editor for the Original Content and Behind the Scenes Division. Here, he was able to master his craft, learning from the best to maximize work-flows with technical precision. While at Trailer Park, Jonathan edited interviews, trailers, and behind the scenes content for productions including Avatar (FOX), Louie (FX), Gossip Girl (Warner Bros), The Rocky Horror Picture Show (FOX), the 40th Anniversary Blu-Ray for The Sound of Music (FOX), and more.

In 2011, Jonathan’s passion for music led him to DW Drums and Drum Channel, where he served as Technical Director and Editor for 100+ in-studio and on-location musical performances, lessons, and masterclasses. A dream come true, Jonathan was able to work with founder Don Lombardi and artists including Neil Peart (Rush), Chad Smith (RHCP), Mick Fleetwood (Fleetwood Mac), Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), Alex Gonzales (Mana), and Chester Thompson (Santana).

Jonathan relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2013 and began specializing in live event production. He began his journey at Madrone Studios, where he served as Director and Editor for Farm to Fork SF, MUSE SF, and Startup Health 2019 with President Joe Biden.

In 2017, Jonathan launched Bright Raven Creative and transitioned to independent contracting. He has served as Technical Director, Director of Photography, and Editor for live stream and multi-camera productions including ReWired Green 2022 (Wired Magazine), Davos Summer 2021 and Davos 2020 (World Economic Forum), Planet Labs Live, GoDaddy, Github Universe 2021, and Dropbox Live 2018 with Michelle Obama. He’s also supported companies including AirBnB, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Salesforce with their video production needs at internal meetings.
